GodlyMoney Institute Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Our content exists to educate — not to sell products, earn commissions, or give personalized advice. This page describes the standards every published piece must meet.

Sourcing and fact-checking

• Every statistic names its primary source and publication year, with a link where available.
• Claims we cannot trace to a credible primary source are cut, not hedged.
• Scripture quotations are verified against the cited translation (NIV unless noted).
• Time-sensitive figures (fees, fund data, tax rules) carry the date we last checked them, and guides display a visible "Updated" date.

Honesty about disagreement

Faithful Christians disagree on some money questions — tithing on gross versus net, debt, which industries to avoid in investing. Where conviction differs, we present the views and the scriptural reasoning rather than declaring one position the only Christian one.

What we never do

• Promise or imply investment returns or financial outcomes.
• Give personalized financial, investment, legal, or tax advice.
• Accept payment for coverage, run display ads, or use affiliate links on this site.
• Present marketing claims — ours or anyone's — as verified fact.

We use AI tools in drafting and research. Every published piece is reviewed, fact-checked, and approved by our editorial team before it goes live, and we remain fully responsible for everything we publish.
